Quaid-I-Azam University Islamabad
founded as University of Islamabad, is a public research
university in Islamabad, Pakistan.
It was founded in 1967, formerly known as Islamabad University, initially for graduate study, but expanded into an interdisciplinary university in the 1980s, offering undergraduate and postgraduate study. Since
2015, the university has been the largest university in Islamabad, with more than 13,000 students. The university is located on a 6.9 square kilometer campus at the foot of Margalla Mountain.
